I have been wanting to do this for a long time. . . .and it has been a fabulous experience for me. I was nervous about speaking only en español ... pero "vale la pena"!!!!

I am very happy with what I have learned and I hope to return soon.

This is the third language school we have been to in Oaxaca, and it is the best by far. The instructors are excellent and use the dynamic method of teaching Spanish in a non-threatening, interesting and fun way. We both really appreciated the emphasis on speaking, and found that we learned and retained better this way. The classes were small, materials were varied. There was structure to the classes along with flexibility and the teachers were quick to respond to the varying needs of the participants. We also loved the activities in the afternoons and weekends.

Over the last few years, I have tried several different schools, and purchased home study programs in an attempt to learn Spanish. After taking classes at Español Interactivo not only have I overcome my fear of learning Spanish but I have made a breakthrough and am able to enjoy the classes. Happily, I am able to use what I have learned.

Cooking with Luz was wonderful! I really that the whole experience was in Spanish and that we were able to prepare all the ingredients, cook the whole meal and eat it together. I felt that I would be able to make the whole meal at home unlike the other classes in Oaxaca, that cost so much more and do not allow the participants to do much cooking.

It was wonderful not only did I learn so much Spanish in my five days in a Beginner class, I had so much FUN! Erika es una maestra excelente, with a constant smile and a laugh. She explained things so clearly and reviewed them throughout the week. I hope to have lessons with her again. Luz was so welcoming, accommodating and cheerful and helpful! The excursion with Luis to Zaachila was so fascinating and, again: fun.

In short, this is a school where I learned loads of Spanish, and laughed and laughed. ¡Muchas gracias!

Disfruté mucho las clases, ambos en grupo y privadas. El sistema interactivo ofrece una oportunidad de conocer otros estudiantes y a construir una comunidad. Hice buenos amigos mientras en la escuela. También las excursiones a pueblos con Luis fueron muy divertidas y nos ayudaron a conocer mas de gente de Oaxaca. Luz es una dinámica maestra. Recomiendo mucho Español Interactivo.

Erika was a great teacher. I have done two immersion experiences before but this was more practical and functional. Erika was superb in identifying the needs of me and my husband even though we are at different Spanish levels (we asked to be together) I was very happy to have her as a teacher and would highly recommend her to friends.

I thought Luis was very good. The class was well organized and everything this week was brand new to me. I was surprised that with so little written material so much practice was possible. I spoke more in this one week of class than I had in three or four weeks of class in other schools.

Luis was friendly, personable and very much able to get me to express many new ideas and concepts during class. I enjoyed the class a lot. I very much enjoyed the pace of the class and the change of approaches during the class. The homework, new material, practice of new material, a game that accompanied the material: I got fabulous value for my money.

I very much enjoyed your school. I found your teachers very patient and kind. Also enjoyed the after school excursions to the nearby pueblos. Would not hesitate to recommend your school to friends and family.

Yo he tenido una experiencia excelente en la escuela Español Interactivo. Los profesores saben como enseñar sus lecciones muy bien. En un mes he aprendido muchísimo. Recomendaría esta escuela sin reservaciones a otras personas. También es posible hacer llamadas telefónicas a los Estados Unidos. A veces tuvimos clases de cocina y también hicimos un viaje al mercado de Ocotlán.

Erika did a great job with what could be considered a difficult task. My wife (an intermediate Spanish speaker) asked to have a class together to focus on practical travelers' Spanish. Erika covered all the basics and a really great job making sure both our levels of knowledge were taken into consideration. I am feeling more comfortable with my Spanish: more than I expected. I would highly recommend this experience.

We had a wonderful and very helpful teacher! Excelente. Our written work and her use of the white board really helped me to understand usage. I liked the verbal question and answer times. I would highly recommend this school.

An excellent method of learning Spanish I can't say enough good things about it within 10 days were able to feel comfortable to speak Spanish. All the teachers are warm and encouraging which builds confidence; they also have an excellent command of the language.
