Every week we organize a different program of activities and outings to complement your Spanish immersion program:

EXCURSIONS

Every week we offer an optional excursion, outside of class hours. Excursion destinations include nearby indigenous villages such as Ocotlán and Zaachila, and also local museums and walking tours.
Cost: 120-150 pesos/person for 4-5 hours

COOKING CLASSES

Our weekly cooking class includes a trip to the local market where students practice their Spanish buying ingredients. Later, students prepare a traditional Mexican dish, and then enjoy the lunch they've created themselves.
Cost: $30 US/person

WEEKLY AFTERNOON GET-TOGETHER

An informal, social, fun way for the students to get to know each together and try out each other's Spanish.

DANCE CLASSES

A fun way to exercise and learn some of Mexico's favorite dance moves, like salsa, cumbia and merengue. Total beginners welcome!
Cost: 30 pesos/person

WEAVING CLASSES

Learn how Oaxaca's indigenous women weave, and make your own textile souvenir to take home.

MARIMBA LESSONS

Learn to play one of Southern Mexico's most traditional musical instruments with lessons from a local master.
