We had a fantastic time last Friday celebrating "Good Samaritan" Day. We dressed up our female students in traditional Oaxacan dresses, and made jamaica and horchata to give out to passersby:

There was a great moment when some American tourists came by, and looked confused by the proceedings and walked by. One of our students yelled in English, "Come back!
Forget Santa! Here in Mexico, the presents are brought today by los Reyes Magos, or, the Three Wise Men.

Personally, I like a good bacalao, reflecting our Spanish roots, at Christmas but, for those of you who HAVE to have a turkey...

Here's a recipe from the El Sol de la Costa (Puerto Escondido) website for Turkey Mole. Some of the chiles you may need to get at a Mexican or Latin American grocery store.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
